Long time no journal DevArt!

So first off, I'll start this post by saying that I probably won't be attending Aki-con this year. Because I am hoping to study abroad in Japan next year, I am trying to limit my spending. I will be going up to Seattle for a concert (Miyavi ) on the 25th of October, and it seems silly to miss school twice in such a short period of time and spend money for two round trips. So unless I can find a free ride/room, I will most likely not be going. Sorry to dissapoint everyone I told I was going.

That being said, I am blowing a little bit of money on a beautiful new D90 is buying my current camera, and I am using the money from that to buy one~ Because I already have lenses, all I have to order is the body which knocks off a couple hundred dollars. So I'll essentially be getting a $1100 camera for $265? Sweet This also means that I will probably be making a lot of videos, which is extremely exciting me to.

So I just bought myself a 3 month subscription to DA!
This means that I will be requesting critiques on my work now (the whole reason I decided to buy one) so please take a moment to review my work. I will be going back and adding the critique function to other ones.

In photoshoot news, I am currently editing a photoshoot I did with my nieces at Faerie Worlds this weekend. They should be some pretty fun photos!

In camera news, I am now a proud owner of a SB-600 flash I found one refurbished for $60 dollars off its list price, so there was no way I could pass up! I'm still getting used to it, but it should be fun to play with.


Now I just have to find a skin I want to use...

They were so much fun to work with I just did general editing on these photos, but I think Im going to go back and do something fun with them once I get photoshop.

As for my other announcement, I decided to make a DA specifically for my costumes.



I decided to make one because I felt weird posting other people pictures on to this DA now that I am using this account primarily for my photography.

So I lied to everyone about not getting the photos up until Wednesday XD I looked at them on my friends computer and was so happy with them I had to share! So here they are!
